Windows

Nature is Nigh

Much of the time we view windows functionally – as openings in a wall through which we can see what’s on the other side. We tend to perceive walls as boundaries between distinct realities: what’s “out there” and what’s “in here.” Windows offer a framed perspective through which we can imagine seeing a separate reality without actually entering it.

But the distinction between “out there” and “in here” is a perceptual illusion: both sides are actually embraced in the same reality.

In this series I’m exploring windows and their relationship with reality.
